Mandana Khonsari
My art is a living experience which is designed to draw you into the essence of the beauty which nature has to offer. I want to provoke the desire for you to be in places you have never been or strike up recollections of places you have been to before. My work is designed to challenge your perceptions of the real world.
My Passion for painting started in the mid-1070s, when I began my undergraduate studies at Tufts University (USA) in the fields of Economics.
Abandoning a career in banking at the start of the new millennium, I decided to take up painting full time and dedicate my time entirely to the pursuit of my only true passion – art and creativity. Pursuing this goal, I also enrolled for full time studies at the Putney School of Art & Design. Since 2004, I have based my work at a studio in Wandsworth that I share with a number of fellow artists. I had my first solo exhibition in February of 2002 at the Putney School of Art & Design. Since then I have also taken part in a number of group shows around London. In 2006, I was named winner of the poster competition as well as ‘The Best in Show’ at the Friends of Holland Park Art Exhibition.
