Several SoFAP members took part in this year’s Pintar Rapido event and very much enjoyed it. It took place over the weekend of 16-17 July, with a public exhibition and sale at Chelsea Old Town Hall. A full report will appear in the next SoFAP Newsletter, but here are some pictures of the event:

BBC One is planning a new series which will see amateur artists being mentored by some of the leading names in visual art. School of Art is a primetime series scheduled for later this year and they are looking for anyone with a huge talent and enormous potential to apply.
The programme is open to anyone who over 16 and a resident in the UK.
Applications close on 10 June, so act fast.

Chris Steadman has had his work , St Mary’s Church, Putney, selected for the 2016 UK Coloured Pencil Society annual open exhibition for the category of ‘River Thames’. This category is a special one for the 15th anniversary of the society.
The exhibition will run from 4 – 14 May 2016 and is being held at The Menier Gallery, 51 Southwark Street, London, SE1 1RU.
Cards and prints of Chris’s work will be available at the gallery during the exhibition.
