I've always been that person who could just stare and get lost in a map for 20 minutes. But it's the topographical ones that really draw me in, so about 10 years ago I decided I'll learn how to create the type of map I'm most intrigued by. With no artistic background, I just started creating maps one by one, seeking advice from various helpful people at art shops. While I've mostly pinpointed the style I like, every map I find myself trying something new, building on the last. Creating these maps gives me an energy that's hard to describe but for the rest of my life it will continue to be a passion and I'll always have a map I'm working on ;)
