The painting “Winter Flowers” is a celebration of the Amaryllis, one of my favourite flowers, specifically chosen for its ability to brighten up dark and cold winter days. The composition brings together the subtle beauty and transience of the flower with the sumptuous presence of a large, hand-made ceramic vase. This work is rooted in my inspiration from organic forms and textures, creating a thoughtful dialogue between painting and sculpture. It embodies my belief in the authentic and perfectly imperfect, allowing the viewer to easily connect with the unique character of both the natural and handcrafted elements.
