Isabel Hutchison is a London and Hampshire based artist who undertakes commissions to paint portrait in pastel and oil of children, adults and animals. In addition to her pastel portrait commissions, Isabel has been versatile with her work over the years in order to earn a living as an artist. Having begun her career as an Interior Designer she eased into painting murals and trompe d'oeil before moving over into studio work. Her one man exhibition of the bridges along the river Thames in London, which was shown in the walkways of Tower Bridge during the centenary, established her career and a following. Isabel has been credited for her ability to depict hard and reflective surfaces, such as light on water and rock, and this can also be seen in her ‘Still Life’ containing silver and glass objects.
