Penny German, Building daily routines: a painting a day in oils, acrylics and watercolours.

Penny German, ARBSA, is a Northamptonshire artist who has been painting all her life. Ten years ago, she gave up part-time teaching to concentrate on her career as a professional artist. Having been inspired by the advent of the ‘daily painting’ phenomenon, she started producing a still life painting each day as a record of her progress and a discipline to keep her on track. The paintings were blogged daily and her following grew along with painting sales. These days she concentrates more on larger works for galleries and exhibitions but uses her oil sketches to inform her work. Penny teaches regular workshops and writes for The Artist magazine extolling the virtues of daily painting.
